TIDAL Family plan: 6 accounts, same country, and one free-trial trap
One plan covers six accounts — you plus five. Members need a TIDAL account in the same country as you, not the same address. But anyone who has already used an individual trial cannot join while your own trial is running.
TIDAL Family is 6 accounts on one plan: the primary holder plus up to 5 members.
Each member gets their own TIDAL account, which is the point — separate accounts mean separate recommendations, so nobody's listening reshapes anyone else's.
Who can join
Members must have a TIDAL account in the same country as the primary account holder. That is the requirement, and it is the whole requirement.
There is no same-household test and no address verification. The check is national, not residential — so family at other addresses in the same country qualify.
The free-trial trap
This one catches people on day one:
If your Family plan is currently in a free trial, you cannot add anyone who has already redeemed an individual promo or free trial. They have to wait until your promotional period ends before they can be added.
So if you start a Family trial expecting to bring in five people immediately, and some of them have tried TIDAL before, those invites will not work yet. Either start the plan without the trial, or accept that part of your household joins later.
How it compares
Every major music family plan caps at six people. They differ on who qualifies:

Spotify requires every invited member to enter the same address, verifies it when the account activates, and may ask again later. Miss the 7-day re-verification window and that member drops to free.
TIDAL and Amazon do not do this. If your "family" is spread across a country rather than a building, both are a straightforward fit and Spotify is not.
Worth knowing before you switch
Everyone needs their own TIDAL account. Not a profile on yours — an account. Budget a few minutes per person.
TIDAL also sells a student plan. If most of your household are students, compare individual student pricing against a six-seat Family plan before assuming the family plan is cheaper.
